Pre-Owned Fender 1964 Jazz Bass NOS w/hardshell case
The 1964 Fender Jazz Bass is appreciated for its warm, engaging swing in the neck position and its throaty, present definition in the bridge position. This faithful replication of the 1964 Jazz, with a few tweaks, captures both of those voices perfectly. The main feature that makes it unique is an all rosewood neck, which until recently was only available on Masterbuilt instruments. We chose to not have the normal gloss finish applied, giving it a raw, natural feel. This neck has instantly become a favorite amongst all of the basses here.
This bass has lollar the 70's jazz bass pickups installed, that have Punchier than their standard J-Bass® version, the ‘70s J-Bass® pickup also features fatter low-mids and more presence (in the upper-high frequency range). The original vintage Jazz single-coil pickups are in the case. The quartersawn U-shaped rosewood neck and 9.5" radius and Medium Jumbo frets gives it a comfortable, vintage feel with modern playability.
Bass players know that the Fender Custom Shop makes some of the world's greatest basses, and this 1964 reissue Jazz Bass shows why. This is an amazing looking, sounding and feeling bass that we spec'ed out specifically to showcase the all rosewood neck.
